Tom top living movie icon

Tom Cruise has been named the top living movie icon in PREMIERE magazine’s new Top 50 Stars Of All-Time list.
The Mission Impossible hunk came in third on the list behind Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe, but he ranks as the leading actor still working, and he’s named the Most Attractive Star too.
Julia Roberts ranks seventh on the new list with Jack Nicholson at 16 and Robert Redford at 17. Other living stars who make the top 40 include Elizabeth Taylor, Denzel Washington, Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks and Al Pacino. (ContactMusic.com)

And also published by ContactMusic.com is the report that Tom is anxious to join the long list of film stars heading for the theatre, but fears time is running out to tread the boards, according to their site: “I have to fit that part of my career in soon – if I leave it any later, nerves will get the better of me.”

A small message is that paparazzi are haunting the set of Sophia Vergara’s movie, hoping to catch a glimpse of Tom which hasn’t happened (ContactMusic.com) .
