Thandie Opts Out of ‘M:I 3’
Thandie Newton turned down the chance to reprise her role in the upcoming Mission: Impossible 3 sequel – so she can write a new movie with her husband. The British actress lit up the big screen alongside Tom Cruise in 2000’s Mission: Impossible II – but Thandie has forgone the chance to return to the action franchise. Instead she is occupying herself writing a screenplay with husband Oliver Parker, after becoming frustrated with Hollywood. Newton – who is currently starring alongside Vin Diesel in The Chronicles Of Riddick – says, “It’s the occasional film that just reignites my love of acting. I can go through months where I just want to quit and it’s funny the films that do reignite that love.”
