Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete.
Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.[/gn_quote]
A brand new Oblivion still shows Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman. Oblivion is set to be released on April 12th, 2013:
The first Oblivion Trailer is out and it’s looking AWESOME. I thought this was supposed to be out tomorrow. Anyway, it doesn’t have the MPAA notice and it’s subtitled in spanish, so it’s probably an international version that got leaked. I’ll make screen captures once the official trailer is out.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy), the movie also stars Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo. The movie is set to be released in April 2013.
