The Morning Madhouse went to Taranaki to organise (with your awesome help!) a wee going away pressie for a Mr Tom Cruise!
Thousands of people gathered at the Bowl of Brooklands on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and lined themselves up to spell out the word T.O.M.I.N.A.K.I which was then photographed!
On Thursday Jase, Jay Jay and Dom were invited onto the set of The Last Samurai in Taranaki to present Tom with the photo.
He was deeply moved by the gift, saying “This is so special. I can’t believe you did this for me. This is going on the wall in my office when I get back home”

“And finally, in case you haven’t heard, Jase, Dom and I were lucky enough to meet Tom Cruise yesterday!! We don’t mean to brag because we have NO proof except for a photo he promised he will send, but I do have to say, especially for you girls, that he is the most incredibly magnetic person. So sincere and charming. His eyes twinkle and his smile is so warm and real. We were invited onto the set of The Last Samurai to present to him the TOMINAKI photo, we had lunch there and Tom even invited us back to his trailer to see the movie promo. It was most unbelievable day, and after meeting him, we are now definitely his number one fans. Oh, and did I mention that he kissed me THREE times????”

And in awards news, Minority Report has been nominated for the “Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Interpretation,” which will be handed out in Toronto on August 30.
