Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning to ring in the New Year (09) in style with a lavish party at Dubai’s new Atlantis The Palm Resort.

The celebrity couple will host a star-studded New Year’s Eve party at the Middle Eastern paradise, according to U.S. TV news show Extra.

The new $1.5 billion resort, built on an artificial island called Palm Jumeirah, boasts beaches, water parks, nightclubs and even a Nobu restaurant.
