BFCA (Broadcast film Critics awards) were announced today. The Last Samurai is nominated for:

Best Picture

Best supporting actor- Ken Watanabe

Best Composer- Hanz Zimmer

These awards will air in January on E!

The Last Samurai also recieved 10 (!!) nominations for GOLDEN SATELLITE AWARDS:

Best Actor (drama)- Tom Cruise

Best Supporting actor (drama)- Ken Watanabe

Best Motion Picture (drama)

Best Original Score- Hanz Zimmer

Cinematography- John Toll

Visual Effects- Jeffrey Okun

Sound- Mark P. Stoeckinger

Art Direction- Lilly Kilvert
